At present, there are more than 160 staff working in the SEE, including 52 doctoral supervisors, 47 full professors, 49 associate professors and senior engineers of which there are 10 part-time academicians, 1 academician from Canadian Academy of Engineering and Engineering Institute of Canada, , 1 professor as a leading scientist in national 973 Project, 2 professors supported by the National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 4 professors as Cheung Kong Scholars Chair Professors, 1 professor as National Expert with Remarkable Contributions , 2 professors elected as State Class Persons of National Talents Engineering of Ministry of Personnel of China, 9 professors supported by the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education, 7 professors supported by the Foundation for University Key Teachers by the Ministry of Education of China, 1 professor awarded Chongqing Outstanding Teacher, 3 professors supported by Chongqing Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 1 professor as Liangjiang Scholars Chair Professors and  2 professors as Bayu Scholars Chair Professors. 79% of the full-time teachers have a doctorate, more than 54% have study abroad experience.
