On the morning of May 25, the first seminar of the construction of State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment & System Security and New Technology was successfully held in Days Hotel of Chongqing University. Zhang Fan, Minister of Science and Technology Innovation Department of China Electric Equipment Group, Li Xianwei, Director of Innovation Cooperation Department, Hu Jianlin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electrical Engineering at Chongqing University, and Xie Kaigui, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Chongqing University, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Hu Jianlin.
Hu Jianlin welcomes the arrival of leaders and experts from China Electric Equipment Group, and expresses gratitude for the group's long-term support and assistance to Chongqing University. He stated that the school and the group have established a solid foundation for cooperation, and the joint construction of a national key laboratory is an important manifestation of both sides working in the same direction and resonating with the same frequency. This marks a higher, deeper, and more pragmatic cooperation between the two sides. He hopes that both sides will focus on laboratory construction goals, promote institutional and mechanism innovation, promote complementary advantages and resources, improve platform construction efficiency, and effectively promote the implementation of laboratory construction plans.
Xie Kaigui reviewed the history of Chongqing University, introduced the “Double First-Class” construction of the School of Electrical Engineering and the process of establishing State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment & System Security and New Technology, and expressed sincere gratitude to the leading experts of China Electric Equipment Group for their support of laboratory work! Xie Kaigui stated that both sides should take the opportunity of jointly building key laboratories, actively integrate into major national strategic needs, strengthen political responsibilities, fully leverage their respective advantages, use laboratory construction as the driving force, carry out organized scientific research around the main task, and jointly build national strategic scientific and technological forces in the field of power transmission equipment.
Zhang Fan stated that Chongqing University has the state level platform for basic research on power transmission equipment and system security, and China Electric Equipment Group is a national team in the field of power transmission equipment manufacturing. The two sides have formed a strong alliance to connect the innovation chain and industrial chain, and jointly seek innovation leadership. Zhang Fan pointed out that the "what to do" in the first stage has been clarified, and the next step will be to jointly start the construction of the "how to do" in the second stage. How to seize the commanding heights in the development of power transmission equipment, both sides need to base themselves on major national strategic needs, improve the innovation system, consolidate the innovation foundation, break through key technological bottlenecks, and embark on an innovative path of deep integration between schools and enterprises.
Li Hui, Deputy Director of State Key Laboratory, reported on the establishment plan of the laboratory from the aspects of construction mission and positioning, research foundation, joint construction advantages, and progress of construction work. Participants exchanged ideas on key tasks and cooperation models of the laboratory.
In the afternoon, the participants had a group discussion on the three main tasks of independent design of power transmission equipment technology, green power transmission equipment technology, and intelligent power transmission equipment technology, further refined and sorted out key tasks, discussed and formed research task suggestions.
