Alumni Wu Hui, Vice President of Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., and his delegation visited the School of Electrical Engineering to hold an exchange symposium


On the afternoon of August 30, 2023, Vice President Wu Hui, an alumnus of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., visited the School of Electrical Engineering. Li Jian, Vice President of Chongqing University, attended the exchange symposium. Also present were Liu Jiajia, General Manager of the Government and Enterprise Business Department of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Cheng Chang, General Manager of the Data Center of the Government and Enterprise Business Department of China, Song Wenlong, Deputy General Manager of the Government and Enterprise Business Department of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Li Shengyang, General Manager of the Education and Medical Solutions Division of the Public Utility Systems Department, Song Luchuan, Senior Director of Industrial Development at the Car Business Unit, as well as Rao Jinsong, Assistant to the President of Chongqing University, Xu Jun, Secretary-General of the Alumni Association, and Xie Kaigui, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering. The meeting was chaired by Hu Jianlin, Party Secretary of the School of Electrical Engineering.

Li Jian warmly welcomed Vice President Wu Hui and his delegation, expressing great anticipation for further collaboration with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

Xie Kaigui provided a brief overview of the recent development of the college, including aspects such as overall development, talent cultivation, faculty team, scientific research, infrastructure, and international and domestic cooperation.

Alumnus Wu Hui reminisced about his youthful years spent at his alma mater, expressing profound excitement upon returning and deep gratitude for the careful nurturing he received there. He combined this sentiment with the university's motto of "Hard work, frugality, diligence, and patriotism," sharing his personal growth journey upon entering the workforce and highlighting Huawei's approach to nurturing young talents. He encouraged the students present to cherish their time in university, emphasizing the cultivation of an innovative spirit.

Subsequently, Alumnus Wu Hui engaged in warm exchanges with student representatives present at the event, expressing high hopes and offering words of encouragement and guidance to the younger students.

Representatives from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Chongqing Branch, included Deng Tianyu from the Government and Enterprise Business Department's Education Industry, Guo Huipeng, a Consultation and Planning Expert from the Public Utility Systems Department, Liu Henan representing the Car Business Unit's Policy and Standards Patent Department, Zhao Huakai from the Government and Enterprise Business Department's Education Industry Technical Representative, and Cao Wei, the Service Representative for the Education Industry. From Chongqing University, attendees comprised Xia Tian, Deputy Director of the Domestic Cooperation Office; Du Xiong, Vice Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering; Li Hui, Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment Technology at Chongqing University; as well as Professor Chen Weigen and Teacher Guo Ke, serving as representatives from the teaching staff.
