Chongqing University Energy & Environmental Elite Scholarship Award Ceremony of 2024 Successfully Held

On the afternoon of June 20, the 5th Chongqing University Energy & Environmental Elite Scholarship Award Ceremony took place in Room 327 of the School of Electrical Engineering. The scholarship is funded by the Chongqing University Energy & Environmental Elite Program Zhejiang Fund, established through a donation by Hangzhou Gechuang New Energy Co., Ltd. Attendees included Hu Jianlin, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Electrical Engineering; Chen Weigen, Yangtze River Scholar, professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, and Executive Chairman of the Energy & Environmental Fund; Wu Jia, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of the School; Luo Min, Director of Student Affairs; counselors Hu Lifang and Mu Feng, as well as all scholarship recipients. The ceremony was presided over by Wu Jia.


Wu Lijia, Chairwoman of Hangzhou Gechuang New Energy Co., Ltd. and a participant in the 13th Major Leadership Program of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with alumni guests Dong Jianyang and Song Xiongjian, attended the ceremony.


Hu Jianlin expressed gratitude to Hangzhou Gecheng New Energy Co., Ltd. for establishing the fund, which supports graduates pursuing careers in Zhejiang’s energy and environmental sectors. He highlighted the deep bond between alumni and the school, encouraging awardees to cherish the honor, study diligently, and strive for excellence.

Subsequently, alumnus representative Dong Jianyang presented certificates to recipients. On behalf of the awardees, student representative Xiao Jianhong expressed thanks to the donors and presented flowers to the alumni.


Dong Jianyang stated that the fund aims to help energy and environmental graduates realize their aspirations in Zhejiang, serving as a bridge for professional growth. He urged students to work earnestly, integrate into the workplace swiftly, and achieve excellence in their careers to contribute to society.


Chen Weigen shared his vision to further develop the foundation, emphasizing the need to pass on this spirit and sense of responsibility. He noted that the scholarship not only provides financial support but also fosters gratitude toward the university and a commitment to societal responsibilities. He encouraged students to enhance their capabilities and take initiative in advancing China’s modernization.
