Thirty years devoted to scientific research: Professor JIANG Xingliang

For nearly 30 years, Professor Jiang Xingliang has been engaged in the research, talent training and engineering practice of high-altitude electrical insulation, natural ice covering test base, and power grid ice disaster prevention. He has presided over more than 30 projects including "973 project", Ministry of Science and Technology support plan, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Qinghai-Tibet Railway, extra-high voltage and other major projects.

Nominated by National Top 10 Outstanding Science and Technology Workers in 2014, reported as the most beautiful field worker by Central Media of Ministry of Science and Technology in 2016, Professor Jiang’s achievement is recognized by international counterparts. Since 2002, he has been a member of the International Commission on Atmospheric Icing of Structures (IWAISIAC), chairman of IWAISIAC for two terms and Chairman of the IWAIS Conference twice. In 2017, he was nominated by IWAISIAC as the only candidate of Masoud Farzaneh Award, the highest honorable Award in the field of ice accretion, and finally won this Award.
